Progga News Desk:
As part of his mayoral campaign, Andrew Cuomo met with Rabbi Zvi Pollack, a pillar of the Staten Island community and its longest-serving active Rabbi. For nearly 50 years, Rabbi Pollack’s leadership has helped shape Staten Island into a flourishing center of Torah study and vibrant Jewish community life.
During the meeting, Cuomo and Rabbi Pollack discussed the current challenges facing New York City and the opportunities ahead. Cuomo emphasized that leadership rooted in experience, unity, and strong values is vital for the city’s future.
He outlined what he believes are the core qualities needed to be the next Mayor of New York:
Embracing all New Yorkers,
Real leadership experience,
Ensuring public safety in every neighborhood,
Fighting the unacceptable rise in antisemitism
“If I check your boxes, use today to check mine—on the Fight and Deliver line,” Cuomo urged, calling on voters for their support.
Rabbi Pollack praised the meaningful dialogue, expressing confidence that Cuomo’s vision could be promising for communities across New York.
